LTE Logistik und Transport GmbH - a joint venture formed by the PORR–Group and GKB, Graz-Koeflacher Bahn- und Bus GmbH - is a private railway company that is offering freight transportation services in the liberalized railway network. Starting in 2000 LTE was one of the first private railway-companies offering freight services in Austria and throughout Europe. Trans-European and international freight traffic is one of the major focus areas of LTE's activities. Cooperating with partners in Germany, Italy, BeNeLux, Eastern-Europe, with its affiliate Adria-Transport and its Slovak subsidiary LTE-Slovakia, LTE can offer trans-border freight transport services solely organised and executed by themselves or the partners. LTE has already gained wide experience in the transport of all kinds of freight, such as cement, chemicals, hazardous goods, parts for car manufacturing, or even haulage of ready-made haul engines and also combined traffic. In addition to the transportation of the goods, LTE also offers related services like schedule planning and train preparation, or the execution of administrative burdens like freight and tariff papers. Special service: the customer can watch his train with “Train Tracker” via Google-Earth.
